I am running for the Holt school board because I believe, working with you, I can make a positive, meaningful impact for Holt Public Schools. Over the past 24 years, I have served as a teacher, building RtI coach, district instructional coach, school principal, academic consultant, and currently as a supervisor of Student Instructional Services at Ingham Intermediate School District. I am a data-driven, results-oriented professional who proactively pursues instructional improvements and meaningful educational experiences for ALL students. I firmly believe that if you always do what's in the best interest of students, you can never be wrong.
My top 3 goals for Holt Public Schools: Collaboration and unity of our community Accountability for administration, staff, and communition to all the students in Holt Public Schools Smart use of technology and 21st century learning skills
If budget cuts became necessary I would want look at the priorities of the district and would make cuts that would not make an impact on student learning and teaching.
This decision would have to be made as a team, I do not have an answer in isolation.
Holt Public Schools sole responsibility is have 100% of it's students to be college and career ready by the end of 12th grade. We are not there yet, but will continue to strive to meet that goal.
The infrastructure of all public schools are in need of attention and this includes Holt Public Schools. My plan is to review the strategic plan and put building priorities in order. This will be an ongoing process and will not be a quick fix.
I support the leadership in the district and will need to partner with the superintendent and board to move Holt Public Schools forward in the future.
Yes I am current in all tax, alimony and child support obligations.
