Elected Eaton County Clerk/Register of Deeds in 2012
1. Serving the public's needs within budgetary constraints. This challenge can be met with hard work and developing new strategies to meet public expectations.
2. Adapting to the continual changes in state law. For example, recent Concealed Pistol License laws that eliminated gun boards caused many changes for County Clerk offices. Another example is the continually changing election law which must be implemented and shared with local clerks.
3. Continued implementation of new technologies in all three offices, including elections, to better serve our constituents. Staying at the forefront of technology will continue to be my priority.
In my second term of office, it will be my pleasure to continue providing high-quality service to the public. The County Clerk's office daily touches so many lives as does the Circuit Court Clerk's office and Register of Deeds office. Whether issuing/registering legal documents, working with local governments to run elections, handling concealed weapon permits, or filing matters in the circuit court, our offices are up close and personal with the public. We will continue our commitment to service that is efficient, flexible and friendly.
All of our services, including marriage license, concealed pistol license, property records, or court records - are vital and statutorily required.
Our services are required by statute and each is vital to the customer seeking their record or license.
We are continually looking for ways to improve efficiency in all three offices.
